Cats have mouthfuls, and you don't just like them. If you're not careful, pets can suffer in your home. We have ten mistakes for you that you may be making that you don't know about.
While the dog eats almost everything, the cat is picky and requires its rituals. No wonder, because cats have more than 500 taste buds, so they know very well what they like. But the fact is, you make a lot of future worries yourself when we make a mistake with a kitten.
1. Do not undertrain kittens
When you bring a kitten home, don't try to take the blue out of the sky. Cats have been forming their tastes since they were little. If you serve quality granules from the beginning, it will not unenger it, it will be less sweet in adulthood, they will not wander or even walk into your plate.
2. You serve cold cuisine
If you put a can of can out of the fridge for the cat, she won't like it very much. The temperature of feeding is important for cats. They prefer a temperature of about 38 degrees, because it reminds them of freshly caught prey. Therefore, let the food always warm up to room temperature.
3. You feed once a day
"It is better to feed the cat several times a day. Unlike a dog, where for educational reasons it is not good to leave the dish filled for too long, so in a cat it does not matter to leave it overnight. 4 . You're giving the same food to a pregnant cat
When the cat is waiting for kittens, the feeding doses need to be changed. Give her food three to four times a day. However, this method of feeding is used only in the second half of pregnancy, because only then the fetus develops. Do not forget to choose a feed richer in vitamins and minerals.
5. Little water
Although cats are not as water-loving as dogs, the drinking regime is just as important to them. Lack of water can have serious health consequences, for example, in the form of urinary tract disease. The cat should drink about 150 ml per day. Place a bowl of clean water right next to the food bowl.

Increase the proportion of new feed every day while reducing the proportion of the original feed when you feed the cat exclusively with new feed at the end of the week. 7 You do not follow the rituals
Regular rituals are very important for cats. They bring them peace and a sense of stability. Therefore, it is good to teach them to feed on a regular basis. It's ideal in the morning before you go to work and then on your return, like around 6:00 to 7:00. Alternatively, you can then refill the bowl at night. Wash the bowls thoroughly after each meal. Some cats enjoy order and refuse to eat from soiled bowls.
8. You give milk
Do you also regularly give your cat a bowl of milk? Then you've fallen victim to a myth. An adult cat doesn't need milk. He may have diarrhea because he's having a hard time digesting it. Kittens need it, but don't give them cows, they need special.
9. You do not change the feed
The cat experiences various stages of life, which need to be adapted to feeding. For example, castrated cats are often a little lazier, have less movement, and so can gain weight. The ideal is to give them light granules or canned food. In older cats, from about eight years of age, focus on feed with a higher content of minerals and vitamins. Also feed them multiple times a day. For good kidney function, it is recommended to salt the food very slightly.
10. One bowl for more cats
In a multi-cat household, each of them needs to be fed in its own bowl. Wash well after the bowl has been done. Communal dining doesn't just matter to kittens. You just have to make sure it gets to everyone and the bigger one doesn't push the smaller ones away.
