Easter eggs – for trick-or-rounders and for decoration

Would you like to surprise with something original? Prepare eggs that will make the little trick-or-treaters a little more interesting. And if you go into eggs of larger sizes, you will use them at the last minute as a beautiful Easter decoration.According to one procedure, you can make two types of eggs – a tiny closed with a filling or a larger open, which you can fill with stylish decorations and decorate with them an apartment. The basic step is the same – around an ordinary inflatable balloon you wrap a cotton, wool or string soaked in a suitable 'chair'. Very simple yet spectacular. So here we go!

2) 'Hardener' to firm the yarn – you can use ordinary liquid starch as we do with a large egg, or you can mix your own hardener by welding 1 part sugar and 1 part water.

1 First we make small stuffed eggs. We soak the yarn in starch or sugar solution. Inside the balloon we nudge e.g. several chocolate mini-eggs and inflate the balloon to the necessary size.

2 We begin to wrap the zigzag around with soaked yarn. Gradually we wrap the balloon whole.

3 Leave the yarn to dry completely on the balloon, ideally 24 hours, if we have time. Then we pierce the balloon inside with scissors and carefully pull it out. All we have left in the egg is chocolates.

4As long as we make a large egg, the basic procedure is the same. We soak the yarn in starch and inflate the balloon to full size this time. We wrap it around it, let it dry. We cut the balloon and take it out. We either leave the finished egg closed and use it as a decoration, or carefully cut out the hole in the front with scissors and arrange a handout for trick-or-rounders inside. Decorate at will with bows, feathers, etc.

We recommend: Even for a small egg, use thicker yarn, or mix several different-strength ones. If you put, for example, only threads, after taking out the balloon, the egg will collapse.
