Do you want to protect the dog from an army of ticks without chemistry, yet reliably and moreover save your pocket? We have for you a recipe for a home remedy against difficult parasites.
Our dog loves walking in nature, flying around the forest and taking a bath in every pond. This year, the situation from last year is repeated – after returning home from the coat, we always choose annoying ticks! This is despite the other times quite reliable spot on pipettes that we use against them. Ticks are just too much. And so we were looking for a way to protect our furry man in a natural way and – what we're going to talk about – cheaper, too.
The basis of this 100% natural repellent is Neem oil, which is used a lot in Indian Ayurvedic medicine. Its amazing properties also include the ability to repel insects and pests, thanks to its special smell. In the recipe, you dampen its intensity with essential oil of cloves and lemon grass. Give it a try.
How to do it: Measure the exact amount of all ingredients, mix well and pour the mixture into a droplet bottle.
Apply the repellent to the dog drop by drop from head to tail and massage well into the fur and skin.Apply it every 7-10 days, more often than chemical preparations – the duration of its effectiveness is shorter, but it works great!
You can replace citronella oil with another one, such as lavender, but don't overdo it, the dog's sense of smell is very sensitive and too strong an aroma could bother it!
