Baskets made of old jeans

Do you have old straight jeans at home that you'll never fit in again? Then don't throw them away. Straight legs can be made into handy fabric cupcakes, which you can use as a decorative cover for a flower pot or basket for cosmetics.

Cut off the hem at the place where it begins to expand. Then cut off the hard hem at the end of the leg.

Stretch the cut-off legs halfway through the length inwards – inside and outside the tube, you'll have the face of the denim and get a beautiful jobless edge at the top. At the bottom, cut the corners. Thus, make a tooth, according to the picture. Then sew the longest side on the machine.

You could just sew it down like a bag, but the basket wouldn't cost. As shown in the picture, sew the corner, the basket gets the bottom and will become more stable.

Place the basket as high as you need it. Denim, in addition, in multiple layers, will nicely hold the shape even without reinforcement.

Our tip: The easiest way is to decorate the finished basket or pot wrap with pancakes. And when they get dirty, you simply take them off and wash the denim.
