Original bird drink from a live leaf

Do you have bird tenants in the garden in the booth or tree cavity? They collect food, but they might miss the water. Make them an original drinking room and bathroom in one.

Having birds in the garden pays off. They pick up pests and dare even on wasps. Hunger in the season will not suffer, but on hot days it often happens that they have nowhere to drink and cool.

You need – a large leaf, for example, from rhubarb, but it also fits goddess or burdock, sand, concrete, water, food film, paints, bucket, brush, containers, putty

How to do it
1. On the mat, empty a pile of sand in the form of a future drinker. The pile should be about 10 cm larger than the leaf. Cover it with food foil.

2. Face the foil to attach the sheet. If there's not enough sand and he doesn't create enough support, add him.

3. Prepare the concrete and apply it to the reverse side of the sheet. In the middle of the future container should be a layer of concrete around two and a half centimeters, and to the edges it can thin.

4. Cover the concrete layer with foil and leave to harden for several days.

5. Remove the top foil and carefully remove the sheet. If it attaches to you, a brush will help.

6. Wait three to five more days for the concrete to mature before starting to paint. If you do not want to paint the finished sheet, paint the inside of the drink with silicone putty.
