From kitchen towels or toilet paper, you can create an Advent calendar in many ways. We wanted it to be not only stylish and handsome, but also practical. Thanks to a small feature, individual windows can be opened (and closed again). Children have convenient access to goodies and you can use the calendar next year. We have also prepared a quick video tutorial for you.
24 rolls of toilet paper (or 12 rolls of tea towels) on the tree itself
5-6 roll with a smaller diameter on the eyelids
piece of cardboard – we recycled the pizza box
8 sheets of green paper
other colored papers on the eyelids
string or wool on the handles
scissors, pen, paper glue, hot melt gun
ordinary pencil, marker, wheel template (e.g. cut-out)
H
ow2Whirt the rounded handles with the help of a melting gun according to the attached scheme into the shape of a tree. It is ideal to glue one floor at a time and then glue it as a whole to the lower row.
5 Glue the prepared cap with glue or a melt gun to the cut narrow handles, the coloured surface upwards. Let the string look freely.
6This is how the cap will work – you put it in wider handles, the shoving string serves as a 'handle' for comfortable take-out. We glue the back of the handles firmly with green wheels
Our tip: If you haven't collected enough rupees, never mind. You can also cut over toilet paper handles to turn one into two calendar windows. Just be sure that it will be less deep and can only fit candies, choco money or small figurines. You can also attach an eyelet to a shallower tree and hang it on the wall.
