Where to go on may day? To Petrin!

If you are going on the first day of May this year, i.e. on Sunday to go for a traditional walk to Prague's Petrin, you will not be disappointed. The hill is sufficiently heated by the sun and full of flowers. Under the blooming trees you can handle a May Day kiss.

10-horzWhether you go to Petrin on the first may day regularly, or are going there for the first time this year, you will like it there. You don't just have to kiss under the most famous statue of the local park, which is the author of the classic lyrical lyric composition May Karel Hynek Mácha. And just for the sake of completeness, I feel obliged to reiterate that May is not a work of love or love, but a gritty horror film about a lover's triangle.

In the maze, the corridors consist of 38 large mirrors. some are curved, so you'll have fun looking at your deformed body.

The whole hill is set in the sun, and so it is beautifully blooming despite the april weather. I'm sure those in love will find the right place to kiss under a blooming tree. But there's more to see. Not only children will like the traditional mirror maze, which is open to tourists even until ten in the evening. Full admission is 75 crowns.

Right next to it stands the most famous landmark of Prague Petřínská lookout, higher than 65.5 meters. It's a five-times smaller imitation of the Eiffel Tower, and you'll walk up 299 steps on the way to the top. Here, too, they are open until 10 pm, full admission is 120 crowns.

Towards Strahov you will find štefánik's observatory. Several telescopes are available and observations are held day and night. The largest telescope has three refractors under the main dome. It is open from 2 to 19 and from 9 pm to 11 pm. The basic entrance fee is 55 crowns.
