The weather's supposed to go wrong, and this is a great opportunity to go out into the tropics. You won't be cold in the Trojan Botanical Garden in Fata Morgana Glass, and you'll also get a closer look at butterflies that you'd otherwise have to travel thousands of miles to reach.
Exotic species with wings, from which many world-famous fashion designer writes, you can admire in the environment of tropical nature at the traditional exhibition, which will last until May 8th. This year it's called Butterfly Wing Lightness.
Parents may be glad that this is one of the few exhibitions to lure children to the greenhouse. The game of colors will entertain you and them. Plus, butterflies can sit on you. All you have to do is have the right floral perfume. Or you can see them while feeding. Interestingly, some butterflies like salt water, alcohol and a lot of fermented juice. In botanical they receive a solution of sugar and overripe bananas, which begin to ferment.
As every year, the pupae of tropical martinis, otakárkas and babas are imported from a butterfly farm in Stratford-upon-Avon, England, in regular weekly doses.
Butterflies will be more than four thousand and hatch gradually, so new and new specimens are born throughout the exhibition.
You can uniquely watch the transformation of the hood into a brightly colored handsome man in glass display cases, where the hoods are glued to bamboo sticks.
There is also a butterfly martináč Attacus atlass with the largest flat wings in the world. It can be up to 400 cm2. Interesting is the sense of smell of this kind. Male martináčeks have much denser gounds than females and thanks to them they can sniff them out for up to several kilometers.
