Opponents of vegetables may have their hair spraied when reading the name. But as soon as they put the first bite of this immeasurable good cupcake in their mouths, even the most ugly ones immediately change their minds. The original name carrot cake has amazingly supple dough and the combination of flavors is perfect!
For a perfect result, we recommend to bake the corpus a day in advance and leave it lying in the fridge. It's even better. You can fill and apply the cream before serving.

plain flour200g cane sugar
(some recipes mention 100g more sugar semolina, but that was too much for us)
290ml oil
4 eggs
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1.5 tsp ground cinnamon
1.5 tsp vanilla extract
400g finely grated carrots
120g chopped walnuts
For the cream:
55g softened butter
220 g philadelphia cream cheese (you can replace it with quality unseeded butter)
about half a cup of icing sugar (fine-tune the amount by tasting)
Roasted almond crisps or marzipan for garnish at will

1. In a large bowl, mix the eggs with sugar, oil and vanilla extract, then add the grated carrots.In another bowl, suction the flour, add salt, baking soda and cinnamon to it, and gradually stir the mixture into the first bowl. Mix thoroughly and finally add chopped nuts.
2. Preheat the oven to 170°C. We lay out the cake form with baking paper, we erase the sides with butter. Transfer the dough to the mold and bake for 60-70 minutes. Whether it is ready, we test with a stuck skewer – it must be dry after taking out, and the dough should also peel off the mold. If it starts to brown before it's ready, cover it top with alloil and leave to bake.
3. Let the finished corpus cool completely, or even better to lie in the fridge the next day. Then cut it lengthwise The bottom part is painted with a third of the cream (we send out all the ingredients), fold in and rub the top and sides of the cake with the rest of the cream. It is not easy to wipe the cream until smooth, but do not worry about it.Hala-bala style belongs to this cake 🙂
4. Finally, we decorate the cake with toasted almonds or carrots made of marzipan – these are perfectly suited, especially when you make the cake for example at Easter.
Our tip: Do you need a smaller dessert? Prepare the dough according to the recipe, but instead of cake, bake cupcakes from it in muffin molds. Apply the cream to them with a confectionery bag and decorate.
