This is a simple way to make amazing ornaments on your Christmas tree that will make your room smell beautiful for the whole holiday season! The preparation takes a few minutes and you do not have to turn on the oven at all. Perfect for creating with children.Fragrant hand-made ornaments are often prepared with an apple puree base. But this recipe is a variant for salted dough, so it eliminates the lengthy two-hour baking. It is enough to let the finished ornaments dry thoroughly.
How
1. Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix properly. Then knead the dough with washed, dry hands.
2. If the dough sticks, dust your hands with a little flour and continue. After a few minutes you will have finished the perfect cinnamon dough to make ornaments.
3. Roll out the finished dough (preferably on wax paper so that it does not catch on) and then put the molds in the children's hand and cut out. Do not forget to make a hole in the ornaments to thread the cord before you put it to dry.
4. It takes about 24 hours to season the ornaments. From one batch you make about 10 ornaments (depending on the size). Perfectly dry ornaments can be decorated and painted with ordinary acrylic dyes, but if you just put them on a decorative ribbon and hang them directly on the tree, it will also be great.
Our tip: To accentuate the cinnamon aroma, you can mix a little cinnamon into the colors you will paint the ornaments with. You can spray the uncolored ornaments at the end with a closing spray to get a color.
