Halloween has settled in with us. Children wear pumpkins to go to school. So why not have a pleasant family afternoon and start making Jack-o'-lantern, a typical lantern at home. But do you know how to treat her properly?How to keep a pumpkin lantern for a long time is a fairly common question. The basic rule is to dig out as much pulp as possible to keep it under the skin to a minimum. Another time the advice is to use only clean tools, preferably cooked.

How to do it
1.First, cut out the cap around the stem with a sharp knife at the top of the pumpkin. The hole must be big enough. Carefully remove the cap.
2. It is best to take the fibers with seeds out of the pumpkin with your hand and thoroughly exfoliate the pulp so that only the peel remains. The less that's left, the less likely the pumpkin will soon start to spoil. It will help if you lubricate the inside of the pumpkin with oil.
3.With a marker, mark the parts of the face that you will carve – eyes, nose and mouth.
4.Choose a really sharp knife for carving and be careful. It's going to take a while to 'touch' how to get through the pumpkin.
5. You can also cut holes on the cap.
6. Clean the finished pumpkin well from the outside to make it pretty and shiny. A little oil on a soft cloth will help.
7 . Put a tea candle in the lantern and arrange in a cold place. The more cold, the longer the shelf life.
Our tip – Instead of a candle, you can use an outdoor led light that will not unnecessarily heat the pumpkin.
