At first glance, application of toilet water or perfume seems the easiest thing to do from beautification tasks. All you have to do is spray and go. But that's not entirely true. Even when applying perfume, we often make mistakes, because of which the intensity of the smell is not what we want, or on the contrary, we smell more or different than we would like. We bring you the five most common perfume offenses.

The taste for fragrances and their perception is very individual and varies practically from person to person. In addition, the human nose is more sensitive in the morning than in the evening, and perceives the smells more intensely. It is therefore advisable to choose lighter toilet water instead of intensive perfumes or perfumed water, which contain 12 to 15% fragrances, for morning meetings, business lunch or for everyday wear. Between 6% and 12% of the fragrant mixture is usually used. Choosing a finer and less expressive toilet will avoid the risk that our fragrance will be unpleasant due to its intensity or heavier composition of the counterpart at the meeting or in the office.

1. We apply the smell to clothes

A common mistake is that we smell only at the end when we are dressed. It's not good, because perfume can get on clothes, leave traces, and often the perfume on the fabric smells different than on the skin. Fragrances are made to be applied directly to the skin, and thanks to body temperature they can develop their fragrant components. Apply perfume always before you get dressed, and on the body parts where blood pulsates: the wrist, behind the ears, or the lower part of the neck. For special moments, you can also bring the scent to the knee wells or to the inner part of the thighs. Every heartbeat makes it smell beautiful. Freshly washed hair is also a suitable fragrance carrier.

2. Rubbing the wrist

After spraying, the perfume should be gradually faded, with the aroma itself usually manifesting itself approximately 10 minutes after contact with the skin. "A common mistake of both women and men is that after applying perfume on the wrist, we put our hands on each other thinking that this will make the fragrance more developed. Let the smell lie down so that all the fragrant components can develop. When the wrist warms up, the fragrant components can sneer faster. Especially citrus and fruit notes," says Dagmar Korbová Krůzová from Parfémy.cz.

Topvet - natural cosmetics 3. Dried skin

If you want the perfume to last beautifully until the evening, then thoroughly lubricate your skin with moisturizing cream before hand. That's what a lot of people forget. The fragrance then does not see into the pores and lasts much longer. You will achieve an even more intense fragrance if you use body lotion of the same brand as your perfume. If you don't have it, always choose parched milk so that the smells don't beat each other and beat each other.

4. Poor storage

While your amazing new bottle of perfume will certainly look beautiful on the bedroom table, the sun that shines there can quickly devalue it. The perfume will be well at the bottom of your fridge. Although the idea of storing perfume next to vegetables and fruits can be very unattemed. A good alternative is the bathroom, which does not get sunshine and is more cold here than in other rooms. "The so-called Eau de Parfum is usually more expensive than toilet water, but the bottle lasts for several years. If customers occasionally use perfumed water for balls, we advise them to always put it back in the original paper box. Perfume should be out of the reach of direct sunlight, at a temperature of about 20 degrees Celsius. This will extend its lifespan," advises Ivona Selníková, CEO of LR Health & Beauty.

5. Less is sometimes more

You're afraid you won't smell all day, so you pour almost a whole bottle on yourself? It won't be pleasant for you or your surroundings. "It is better to follow the outdoor temperature and carry the perfume with you in your purse. In the winter months, restore the smell every three hours. In summer it is enough once every 6 hours," adds Dagmar Korbová Krůzová from Parfemy.cz.
