w do we know a cold in a dog? Very easily, just as a person coughs, sneezes, flows from his nose and eyes, loses energy, does not eat and is apathetic. The most common cold is manifested by the so-called psinc cough. It is like a classic flu droplet infection, so the dog carries it among themselves: licking, sniffing or even contacting the place where the sick dog performed the need. The disease is also often transmitted at mass events and exhibitions. If your dog is sick, definitely keep it on a leash and try to prevent the animals from interacting with each other.
Beware of drafts and cold water
Of course, psinc cough is manifested mainly by coughing, which often sounds as if something caught the dog by surprise or something. If the dog is sick for a long time, has really long coughing attacks, and fever has also joined, it is good to go to the veterinarian, who will put on antibiotics. Neglected colds can also go into pneumonia or bronchitis. But if the course of the disease is not very serious, it is good to leave the dog at rest in the warmth of home, walk with him for short walks only to carry out the need, and it is important to keep him on a leash. At home, he should have a bed in a warm place, where he will not be threatened by drafts. And be ware – a cold to the dog can also cause too much icy water to drink.
Chamomile helps

t is good to give more vitamin C to the dog during the disease and thus support their immunity. Special syrups suitable for dogs with colds are also produced. For example, morning-steel or echinacea syrup is suitable. For colds, chamomile is also excellent. For example, if a dog has a cold, put a few drops of chamomile tincture in his bed," says Martin Pučálka, an expert in dog nutrition.
"Herbs are also suitable for dog immunity. For example, holistic granules that contain herbs to support the immune system are an appropriate form," adds Martin Pučálka.You can also sprinkle herbs on the dog's feed. Basil is ideal, especially for psinc cough. Rosehip, in turn, contains a lot of vitamin A and C. If the dog has intestinal problems, then give him a little oregano in the feed.
