My windows are already full of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and lots of other plants, so I'm so glad I can finally start sowing right out. Especially resistant one-year-old herbs are grateful for this.
At home I have a garden like a palm and a peeing dog, so this year I decided to use for herbs, in addition to traditional parsley, vertical flower bed – I put pots on a stick. At altitude, I'll feel much better the next time I use it. What am I going to put in the jars? Coriander, parsley smooth and curly, chives, saturejka, lemon balm and oregano. They won't be so hurt by any temperature drop. If it's the worst, I'll throw non-skathing fabric over them. The most sought-after basil will have to wait.

1. Dense soil suffocates the roots
Most herbs need plump soil, in which water will not be unnecessarily held. That would risk over-weting the roots. Therefore, it is good to mix the substrate with a little compost. When you decide to plant directly on the flower bed, it is necessary to engrave the soil well and, above all, get rid of weeds. Then add the compost and possibly a little sand and level the flower bed nicely again with rakes.

2. Beware of dense sowing
Don't be greedy and don't want to have a lot of everything. Each seed bag has the correct spacing. If you add too much, you won't have more, but less. When herbal monolets are too close together, they take away each other's living space, nutrients and water. When seedlings come out power, it is better to remove excess.
3. Cold water kills them
So many times the remedied topic about cold water seemed pointless to me to mention. But a lot of people keep forgetting. When you have a barrel of water in your garden, it's done. You just remove the soft water and pour it. But in most places, the barrels are now empty, so you reach for tap water. He's going to turn it around and water it. That's wrong twice. First, cold water is a shock to plants. Secondly, the water is full of chlorine. Therefore, it is better to let the water from the tap stand so that it can run out.
4. Bad neighbors will be ammo
Whether on a bed or in a container, it is necessary to sused together later to plant herbs with the same requirements for soil, water and sun and, most importantly, life expectancy. It is better to put together one-year-olds and perennials to perennials. Mediterranean herbs, in turn, love drought, which does not meet, for example, butter.
5. Don't give weeds a chance
Even weeds get into pots. I advise to pull it out regularly, because it is definitely stronger than herbs. The same is true of the bed, where it is best to kneel and arm yourself with a hoe or weed pad. I don't use chemistry. A certain option is to put a mulch around the herbs, but I prefer to choose a zak.
