They have a lot of them in the shops, but if you don't want to throw money at them and would like to create an original piece, start making them at home. It's a piece of cake.Of course, we can make stars from classic colored paper. A combination of different shades in the individual 'floors' of the star looks spectacular. However, we will achieve a much more interesting result by choosing a different material. Feel free to use newspapers or rip pages with interesting advertisements from your favorite fashion magazine.Ideal when the images are torn from both sides of the torn sheet.
Multicolored papers, scissors, paper glue, or stapler and a piece of double-sided adhesive tape
1. From the paper we cut equally wide strips in 4 different lengths. Two lengths of three strips, the shortest strips are enough two plus we add one to the end of the star.
2. We rewive each strip so that we have a tip, we glue its end. We twist the other end of the paper anyway, and also glue it.
3. The basis of the first part of the star consists of three such prepared 'bows' from the longest strips.
4. We fold them with a cross over each other into the shape of a six-point star, in the center we always gradually glue them together. Just to be safe, we can still click through the device with a stapler.
5. Anyway, we make a second 'floor' from shorter strips and glue the tips to the gaps of the lower star.
6. We put the bows from two short strips over each other in a classic cross and attach them to the center of the star.
7. Finally, we fill the center with a hand from the shortest strip and we are done.
When using different papers, imagination really does not put limits. We can create stars in any size – we adapt the length of the strips to it, but we always maintain the ratio between them. When cutting strips from magazines or newspapers, think about the fact that only the ends of the strips will be visible on the finished star – so the motif should be the most interesting in color.
