How to simply multiply basil

Do you also grow the consumption of fresh fragrant basil in summer? In salads, on pesto, well they just fit almost everywhere. However, a nice herb in a pot will cost you up to 70 CZK and its life span is not long. We know how to keep basil handy for free.On the kitchen windowsill basil just must not be missed. Not long ago, two weeks later, we bought new pots with this amazing herb – either it was consumed in a flash or, despite all the care, it "left" just as quickly. But then I came across this great trick of growing my own "infinite" basil for free, and I tried it right away. Result? I'm thrilled. The window is literally green and the basil is still even more than needed.

that I had no idea for so long how easy it is to multiply basil. I didn't get any success with seeds, so I kept buying it at the supermarket. And yet it's so easy and quick to get a whole basil deluge!

jaksiudelat.cz_bazalka many1Cut about 5 cm long top of the basil – just like when you "harvest" it for cooking. You should always do this, the basil stem will split and grow further at the trimming site. But right now, we're not talking about branching basil, it's about cutting off the top schnitzel. Simply put it in a glass of water. And wait…

_DSC0800-1000x2As I was told, within five days the first roots should appear on the stem. And that was the only hitch in my first attempt to multiply basil.A week has passed and nothing. I'm relieved to have tried this tutorial before sharing it on our website – I also hate "guaranteed advice" that doesn't work in the end. But when I gave up on basil and wanted to throw away the schnitz, the roots appeared after all!

jaksiudelat.cz_bazalka 23A it was the only thrilling moment. There was a joy that was already embraining the schnitzel. When he had more than enough roots (I had a little forget about him), he and three others went straight to the pot, the usual horticultural substrate. Four schnitzes will come to me on a flower pot with a diameter of 12 cm just enough to give the plants space and thrive nicely.

4A more attempts have been made without tension. All the schnitz took root in due course, and it didn't happen that any of them went well. Now it is enough to always think a little forward and in time to cut a few stems and again "prick" into the water. Basil leaves for making a beloved pesto or caprese from nicely ripe tomatoes is therefore an inexhaustible supply.
