1. The procedure is quite simple – we make the bottom ball from larger cups, the head from smaller ones. We tie the cups in a circle with the help of a stapler. Sometimes they tend to crack, and we found one piece of advice for that: you mature over it when you sew the cups up to the scalloped part.

2. Start with the center (largest) row of each ball – sew as many cups together as you want to have a snowman wide. Then continue the second row up – sew the cups side by side and to the row below. As the cups narrow, the next row tilts inside, holds a smaller number of cups, and the ball actually shapes itself naturally. Continue down from the middle row anyway. You don't have to finish the upper halves completely, you can finish a row early to make your head settle better on your body.

3. Then sew the bottom ball with the finished head, cover the neck with a headscarf, finish the nose, eyes and buttons, or headgear. As buttons and eyes, you can stuff crumpled black or colored paper inside the cups or, for example, socks, curl thicker paper on the nose. If you plan to put the snowman out, you need to equip it with weights inside so that it does not fly away in the wind and fall.

Our tip: When making a snowman, you can recycle e.g. yogurt cups.
