The uglier it is out there, the more it's chasing us and dragging us into the kitchen to the oven. So we have one recipe for homemade cookies for you, which will lift your spirits in this bad weather. They are perfect for a coffee or cup of tea!
3/4 to 1 cup cane sugar (or other sweetener such as honey, maple syrup, etc.)
1 cup softened butter
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp phosphate-free baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 tsp lemon or orange zest
To taste the improvements:
broken chocolate, nuts, dried fruits, cinnamon, etc.
1. We send out the softened butter, add cane sugar (or other sweetener), vanilla extract and still cut. Then we add eggs.
2. Gradually, we add flour mixed with baking powder and salt.
3. To taste we add additional raw materials – pieces of chocolate, chopped nuts or dried cranberries, plums, etc.
4. We combine everything and with a spoon from the dough we form balls about the size of a ping-pong ball. We put them on a baking sheet with baking paper – beware, leave sufficient spacing between them, biscuits will run side b
5. In the oven preheated to 190 °C bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. The perfect biscuit must be crispy on top, but still supple inside, so don't overdo it with the baking time so it doesn't dry out unnecessarily.
