Great cheap taste bud: Fried onion rings in beer batter

As a beak for wine or beer, fried onion rings are absolutely fantastic. And when you prepare them in beer batter according to a recipe from a new book by cooking star Martha Stewart, no one can resist!

What you need:

For the batter: 
1+1 cup plain flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon white pepper, 1 cup beer

ow to do it
: 1. Cut the peeled onions into at least an inch thick circles, break them down into individual rings and put them in a bowl filled with water and ice.

smazene_cibulove_krouzky_postup2. In a bowl, mix 1 cup of flour with baking powder and spices. Pour in the beer, add 2 tablespoons of iced water and thoroughly whisk with a whisk.

3. We take the onion rings out of the water and put the drip on the towel. Wrap each ring lightly in plain flour (the second cup), then soak in batter and fry in a high layer of oil. As soon as they turn white, we take them out and put them on a paper towel.

4. To taste, we can lightly salt. Serve alone or can be supplemented with a dip of flavored sour cream or tomato salsa.
